Dr Michael Melamdowitz

Consultant Paediatrician

Dr Michael Melamdowitz completed his medical studies MBBCh from the University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa (SA).

He specialized as a pediatrician and was admitted as a fellow of the college of pediatrics in SA in 1992. 

​

He subsequently enters private practice in SA, where he enjoyed practising for 10 years. His work involved a full spectrum of pediatric conditions, concentrating on the management of newborn babies and managing problems of attention deficit. 

​

Following his immigration to Australia in 2005, he worked as the Humpty Dumpty fellow in general paediatrics at the Royal North Shore Hospital. He then obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with paediatrics. He was then appointed as a VMO to the newborn units at the Mater and North Shore Private Hospitals. He also has a VMO position as a general paediatrician in the children's ward at the Royal North Shore Hospital. These are positions he still currently holds.

Dr Melamdowitz consults in general paediatrics, having an interest in all matters of children's wellbeing trying to ensure the best outcomes for children and families under his care.
